Erwin Bittmann was an Austrian rower who represented his country at the 1948 London Olympics. He was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the coxed fours, alongside his crew from RV Albatros, Klagenfurt. He later founded a car sales and repair business known as “Auto Bittmann” at Klagenfurt, and ran it until 1995, when his son Benny, a former professional ice hockey player with Klagenfurter AC, took over the business.
