Rower Bruno Flecker was a crew member of the Austrian quadruple sculls at the 1980 Moskva (Moscow) Olympics. The boat finished fourth in the B-final and tenth in the final ranking. Throughout his career Flecker won 11 Austrian national titles.
Originally trained as a car mechanic, Flecker became a trainer in competitive sports, and later became a masseur with his own practice at Linz along with his wife Irene, a business that started due to his own physical problems. Flecker was also a long-time sporting and therapeutic supervisor for the national rowing team.
