Christoph Zerbst was an Austrian Olympic rower participating in the 1992 Barcelona and 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. He competed in the double sculls partnering Arnold Jonke, winning the silver medal in 1992, and placing fifth in 1996.
Zerbst enjoyed his greatest moments with Jonke in the double sculls, and they crowned their careers with the gold medal at the 1990 World Championships having won a bronze the previous year.
Along with his wife Astrid Fuchs, Zerbst later ran a farm breeding heath goats to produce soft goat’s cheese. Christoph and Astrid raised three boys and by profession Zerbst was a trained teacher.
