Karl-Heinz Danielowski was a cox who finished seventh both with the coxed pairs at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics for the mixed German team together with Günter Bergau and Peter Gorny, and with the eights at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, then representing East Germany. Both boats missed the final and won the B-finals. The coxed pairs were also the 1964 European Champions, adding a silver medal in 1967. They also won East German titles from 1963-65.
In 1970 Danielowski moved to the coxed fours and won a silver medal at the World Championships. In 1973 he moved again, to the eights. This boat won the 1973 Europeans, but placed only fourth at the 1974 Worlds. His greatest moment came in 1976, when Danielowski won a gold medal at the Montréal Olympics with the eights. Danielowski studied financial economics.
