Michael Wolfgramm was a member of the East German gold medal winning quadruple sculls at the 1976 Montréal Summer Games. He was called into the squad at the last minute after Martin Winter fell ill at Montréal. Wolfgramm was never again selected for the national team, for reasons unknown. He won one East German national title, in 1972.
