German rower Antje Frank won the bronze medal with the re-unified German coxless fours at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. The crew was therefore awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. In 1990, she won the national title of the former GDR title with the coxless fours, and also the bronze medal at the World Championships, finishing close behind the West German boat. In 1992 and 1993, she added the German coxless fours title.
