Cox Kathrien Plückhahn was a West German rower who was an unfortunate fourth with the coxed quadruple sculls at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. She could not participate in the 1980 Moscow Olympics due to the US-led boycott of the Western countries. Her greatest moment came in 1978 when she won the World Championships silver medal with the coxed quadruple sculls.
Plückhahn won ten national titles. Seven were with the coxed quadruple sculls from 1977-80, and 1982-84, and three with the coxed fours in 1981, 1983 and 1985.
