Biography

Rower Stefan Forster was a member of the German coxless fours at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics that placed a disappointing ninth. In 1995, he was world champion with the eights, and in 1998 won the silver medal. Domestically, he won five national titles, in 1996 with the coxless fours, 1993 and 1995 with the coxed fours, and in 1998-99 with the eights. As a Cambridge student studying management at Peterhouse College, he won the Boat Race in 1998.
