Ute Kumitz was a West German rower who finished an unfortunate fourth with the coxed quadruple sculls at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. She could not participate in the 1980 Moscow Olympics due to the US-led boycott of the Western countries. That same year, she won the national double sculls title with non-Olympian Andrea Lehmann, and in 1984 with Sabine Reuter. In 1982 and 1984 she also won the national coxed quadruple sculls title.
