“Tate” Neumann coxed the fours to a gold medal in Los Angeles, representing the Berlin Rowing Club. He was 1938 European Champion in the eights. With the Berlin RC he was German Champion in 1933 in the coxed fours and in 1937 and 1938 in the eights. With a very long career, Neumann won his last championship medal in 1955, a third place in the coxed fours.
