Rower Klaus Roloff was a member of the West German coxless fours at the 1976 Montréal Olympics, which finished sixth and last in the final. Klaus Meyer was replaced by Roloff after the heats, because Meyer fell ill. With the coxed eights, Roloff won bronze at the 1978 World Championships, and silver the following year. Roloff also won West German national titles in 1977, 1979-80.
