Biography
West German rower Martin Ruppel was cox of the coxed fours at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, and the crew finished seventh, winning the B-final. In 1983, 1985, and 1986 he won the German coxed pairs national title. He also won the coxed fours title in 1987.
