Marc Weber was a German rower with the eights at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics that up the strongest fight against the Netherlands in the final, winning the silver medal. Therefore, the whole crew was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. In 1998 Weber won the Boat Race as a Cambridge student, where he was a mature student at St. Edmund’s College. In 1993, he won a bronze medal at the World Championships with the coxed fours and, in 1995, a gold with the eights. He also won a silver medal with the eights in 1998. Domestically, Weber won national titles, with the coxed fours in 1993 and 1995, the coxless fours (1999), and the eights in 1996 and 1998-99.
