Biography

Kornél Molnár began his boxing career in 1945 as an athlete of BTK, then continued in Vasas from 1950, but his greatest successes were achieved as a boxer for Bp. Honvéd. Molnár won the Army championship title in 1951 at welterweight before winning the flyweight title in 1954. In 1952 he participated in the Helsinki Olympics, and a year later in the Warsaw European Championships, but both times he was defeated in the first round and eliminated.

After the 1956 revolution he left Hungary and settled in Canada.
