Biography

Theodor Schjøth rowed with the Norske Studenters Roklubb team in the coxed four at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm. After advancing by forfeit in the first round, they lost to the eventual silver medallists from the Thames Rowing Club.

Born in China as the son of a senior customs official in the Chinese service and later first Honourable Consul General for China in Kristiania, Theodor Schjøth returned to Norway at an early age. He studied law and rose to the rank of chief prosecutor. Schjøth remained unmarried and died at the age of just 42 years.
