Biography

Olaf Solberg rowed as a member of the Christiania Roklub in the inriggers coxed four and eight at the 1912 Olympic Games. Both boats did not advance to the second round.

Solberg started his professional career as a clerk in a machine shop. Later, he ran an import agency and wholesale business with a wine department under the name Solberg & Andersen. In 1915 he married Dagny Marie Andresen and had two sons with her. After her untimely death in 1921 he remarried in 1926, Gunvor Marie Bonnevie Rud.
