Biography

Romanian rower Marlena Predescu-Zagoni was part of the national team for more than eight years and represented several clubs in București. One year later she switched to the coxless pairs, winning another bronze at the World Championships, this time in Nottingham, England. These performances earned her a place at the 1976 Montréal Olympics where she came sixth in the coxless pairs with compatriot Marinela Maxim. Four years later Predescu-Zagoni was part of the eight crew that won bronze at the 1980 Moskva Olympics. Following her retirement she worked as a rowing coach working with young people.
