Eugene Belisle was a coxswain at Harvard, graduating in 1931. At the 1928 Olympics he coxed the fours with, but the crew was eliminated in the second round. Belisle later settled in Hartford, Connecticut where he was Executive Director of the Hartford Development Corporation from 1965-75. He was considered responsible for the city’s economic development and renaissance in the early 1970s.
