Mike Livingston was only a spare at the 1968 Olympics and did not get to row, but before the next Olympics, he added plenty of hardware to his trophy case, helping Harvard to continue their mastery of the Eastern Sprints and over Yale. After college, Mike Livingston earned a law degree and worked for several years with the American Civil Liberties Union. He then lived in Guatemala for two years but returned to the states and became the head crew coach at Cal/Berkeley
