Bogdan Sirotanović began his rowing career in Beograd with the BOB Rowing Club in the 1930s. Joining the Crvena zvezda (Red Star) club in the 1940s, he was a member of the eights crew that represented Yugoslavia at the 1948 London Olympics. The Yugoslav boat finished second in its preliminary heat to the eventual champion Americans and was eliminated in the ensuing repêchage. Sirotanović was a longtime head rowing coach at his club, serving from 1946 to 1963, and worked within the railroad industry as a freight traffic manager.
