Karl Reilin competed in the free rifle shooting at the 1908 and 1912 Olympic Games. He also won silver at the first Finnish national championship. In 1914, Reilin placed fifth with the Finnish free rifle team at the World Championships. He was trained as mechanical engineer and worked for the railways as an engineer and official.
