Adolf Schnitt graduated from the Åbo Lyceum. He then obtained a degree in philosophy in 1882. Subsequently, he studied medicine and was licensed as a doctor in 1887 and worked as a military and private doctor in Helsinki. Schnitt was a member of the Finnish trap shooting team at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm. His grandson, Ben Gustav Schnitt, was one of Finland’s best skeet shooters in the late 1960s.
