Most of George Pinchard’s shooting successes were in handicap clay bird events at the Ealing Gun Club. At the 1909 National Clay Bird Shooting Championships at the Middlesex Gun Club, however, he won the Westley Richards Challenge Cup. Pinchard was one of the reserves for the trap event at the 1912 Olympics, along with John Goodwin and Alfred Black. All three took part in Stockholm, however, and Pinchard was the only one of the trio to progress beyond the first round. By occupation, Pinchard was a local council officer.
