Ludwig Leupold, a sports shooter from Munich, finished 23rd with the rapid fire pistol at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. In 1939 he won a bronze as a member of the German rapid fire pistol team. He later coached young sports shooters and became an Honorable Member of his home club FSG “Der Bund” München.
