Christos Zalokostas studied chemical engineering in München. At age 16 he volunteered for the Greek army and fought in the Balkan Wars including the Battle of Bizani in February 1913. In 1941 Zalokostas was a reserve officer, but during the Occupation founded the National Resistance Organization and was a member of the Liberation Committee. After World War II, he was elected MP from Athina in 1946 and 1952. He twice served on the Greek Olympic Committee, starting in 1935 and 1952.
