Johs Jordell represented Kristiania IF and was one of the co-founders of the Oslo Athletics Circle in 1908. He was chairman of the Oslo Football Circle in 1910–1911 and 1917, and president of the Norwegian Football Association in 1913–14. Jordell was a referee in bandy, football and figure skating, and was an instructor in rifle and clay pigeon shooting.
He ran a factory in Oslo for the manufacture of sports equipment, which built his own ski bindings and manufactured ski waxes, holding a patent for skis made of several layers of material.
