Biography

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s Adam Kaczmarek was regarded as one of the best pistol shooters of his time, as he won multiple national and international titles. Kaczmarek was the Polish champion in the rapid-fire pistol from 1983 to 1986, in addition to being a mainstay on the national team. In 1986 he won an individual gold at the World Shooting Championships in the 25 metre rapid-fire pistol, before winning a team gold in the same event at the 1994 championships. At the European Championships his best results came in 1991, winning a team gold, and an individual bronze. Kaczmarek was a two-time Olympian, finishing fifth at the 1988 Seoul Games and seventh four years later in Barcelona.
