Jean Foster’s mother, Tricia, was a world champion in rifle shooting in 1966 and her father, John Foster, was an Olympian in 1960 and 1968 as a rifle shooter. Jean competed at the 1996 and 2000 Olympics in small-bore rifle, 3-positions. Jean was a World Cup silver medalist in that event in 1999. She was US Champion in 3-positions in 2000 and won a bronze medal at the US Nationals in 1998 in prone position.
