Donald Durbin was a lieutenant-colonel in the US Air National Guard when he competed at the 1984 Olympics in small-bore rifle, qualifying for his first Olympics at 47-years-old. He worked in Louisville, Kentucky as a base supply officer while in the Guard. He retired after 35 years in military in 1990, with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
In 2018 Durbin was added to Jeffersonville’s “Home of Champions” Wall in Big Four Station Park. .
