Biography

Dean Hudnutt shot rapid-fire pistol at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Hudnutt graduated from the US Military Academy in 1916 and became a career military officer. A major in 1936 he became a colonel before retiring. Hudnutt later taught mathematics at West Point, and then became a professor of military science and tactics at Yale, where he headed the ROTC Unit (Reserve Officer Training Corps).
