Besides his five Olympic medals, Larry Nuesslein was twice a World Champion – in 1923 with the free rifle and in 1927 with the smallbore rifle. In addition he competed internationally for the United States every year from 1922 through 1927. Nuesslein lived most of his life in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he was manager of the Sears, Roebuck & Co. store for 22 years. He was also very active in civic affairs in Allentown.
