Bill Roy

Bill Roy was a skeet shooter who competed at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Roy won two medals at the World Shooting Championships in team skeet, a gold in 1991 and a bronze in 1993. At the Pan American Games Roy won three medals, in 1991 a gold in team skeet and a bronze in individual skeet, adding a silver in individual skeet in 1999. He won three national championships, and was an 18-time member of the US Air Force shooting team and an 11-time member of the US Shooting Team.

Roy was a 1981 graduate of the US Air Force Academy (USAFA). Most of his military career was spent as a fighter pilot in the F-4E Phantom II and AT-38B. He later served in the North American Aerospace Defense Command. Roy returned to USAFA as an assistant shooting coach and an instructor in the Department of English. He also worked for several years as a commercial pilot with United Airlines. In 2013 he was named program director of the Shaklee Pure Performance Team with Shaklee Corporation.
