Austrian swimmer Franz Schuh won the 200 metres freestyle in 2:44 at the Austrian selection competition held in Vienna (Dianabad) on 5 May 1912. As a result, he qualified for that year’s Stockholm Olympics. Schuh participated in the heats of the 400 and 1,500 metres freestyle at the Games but was eliminated in both events.
