Biography

Jules Wuyts was Belgian 100 metres freestyle champion in 1912 (shared with the non-Olympian Maurice Weckesser). However, Wuyts placed last in his heat at the Stockholm Olympics that year. In 1909, was regarded as being among the best-known Belgian swimmers. At his club, he was a member of the relay, and water polo team, along with Oscar Grégoire, Victor Boin and others.
