Janet Sheather was a Canadian competitive swimmer who specialised in the breaststroke. Sheather swam in the 200 metres breaststroke at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics but was eliminated in the heats. Tragically she was only 32-years-old when she died by suicide after shooting herself at home.
