Elvi Svendsen was a Danish swimmer. Svendsen swam in the 4 × 100 metres freestyle relay at the 1936 Berlin Olympics where the Danish team finished in seventh place. Svendsen also swam in the 100 metres freestyle but she was eliminated in the heats. At the 1948 London Olympics the Danish team won the silver medal in the 4 × 100 metres freestyle relay. Svendsen swam in the heat but not the final and therefore was not awarded a medal.
At the 1947 European Aquatics Championships Svendsen, along with Karen Harup, Greta Andersen, and Fritze Carstensen, were part of the Danish team that won the gold medal in the 4 × 100 metres freestyle relay.
