Biography

Freestyle swimmer Ingrid Künzel came in fourth with the 4x100 freestyle relay in 1956 at the Melbourne Olympics. She was also eliminated in the heats of the 400 freestyle. She claimed 10 West German Championships between 1954 and 1963, and set 16 German records. She later married German hurdler and decathlete Lutz Reinhardt, whose brothers Gerd and Wolf were also nationally successful decathletes.
