Alexandra Russ was a long-distance freestyle swimmer representing West Germany at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. She placed 22nd over 400 metres and 17th over 800 metres. In 1986 she won the 1,500 freestyle national title, and the following year was the 800 freestyle champion. Russ later became a swimming and fitness coach at TSV Bayer Dormagen.
