Celedonio Lima was an Olympic boxer before pursuing a successful professional boxing career. He fought professionally from 1961-66, and was undefeated for his first 22 bouts, eventually finishing with 18 wins, 3 losses, and 6 draws. He fought mostly in Argentina although his final two bouts (in 1966) were after he moved to the United States.
Lima eventually lived in Brick, New Jersey where he had a long career as a maintenance technician at Palisades General Hospital. He was once named the hospital’s Employee of the Year, an honor he treasured deeply.
