Adam Jack “A. J.” Beinschroth, was an American lacrosse player who was a member of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute team at the 1948 Olympics. He did not play in the 5-5 draw against the All-England team, but was one of the goal umpires.
Beinschroth served in the US Navy in World War II, and later graduated from Rensselaer with a degree in civil engineering. He earned his master’s degree from Caltech (California Institute of Technology) after moving to California in 1948, and subsequently worked in the Los Angeles County Road Department for 10 years. He later established a masonry construction company, A.J. Beinschroth Engineering and Construction, and also established the Owl Tree Ranch in Apple Valley. He was involved in both businesses actively at the time of his death.
