Carol Frick graduated from Brooklyn College and later received a master’s degree from the University of Michigan. She taught for many years in the athletic department at the University of Maryland. She would eventually settle in New Milford, Connecticut, where she taught physical education at the Sherman School for over 25 years. In the late 1970s, Frick was in the inaugural class at the Brooklyn College Athletics Hall of Fame.
