Nicole Kramer was a distance freestyler who was only 14-years-old at the 1976 Olympics, and was the youngest member of the US Olympic swim team. She placed sixth in the AAU meet in the 800 freestyle in 1976, but improved to second at the US Olympic Trials to make the US team. Kramer was from Quincy, Illinois, but swam at Mission Viejo High School in California, and competed for the Mission Viejo Nadadores. She returned to Quincy, where she lived for many years, teaching and coaching swimming at Nicole’s Swim School.
