Joan McSheehy competed in the 100 backstroke at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics, finishing fifth. She was second at the 1932 US Olympic Trials. McSheehy competed for the Women’s Swimming Association in 1932. She was US Indoor Champion in the 100 yard backstroke. She later married and became Joan Huffman, but died fairly young, at age 34.
