Biography
Barbara Mitchell competed at the 1972 Olympics as a 16-year-old high school student at Tacoma High School in Washington State. She also swam for the Tacoma Swim Club. Mitchell was inducted into the Pacific Northwest Swimming Hall of Fame in 2005. Mitchell later attended the University of Texas.
