Biography

Heather Simmons-Carrasco won multiple titles in group competition with the United States team in the 1990s. These included a gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and World Championships in 1991 and 1994. She also won a gold medal at the 1995 Pan American Games.

Simmons-Carrasco attended West Valley College and swam with the Santa Clara Aquamaids. She later coached the Aquamaids, starting in 2013. Simmons-Carrasco swam in mermaid shows in Las Vegas at the Silverton Casino from 2004-16. She also worked as a US national team coach, beginning in 2013.
