Biography

Jeanne Stunyo came close to making the 1952 Olympic team when she placed fourth at the U.S. Trials. Although she never won an AAU title, she won silver medals in the springboard at both the 1955 Pan American Games and the 1956 Olympics. On both occasions it was Pat McCormick who took the gold medal. Stunyo competed for the Detroit AC and the University of Detroit. Later, as Mrs. Korpak, she became a low-handicap golfer.
