Biography

Eleanor Uhl swam the 300 metre freestyle at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics. She placed second in the event to Ethelda Bleibtrey in both the heats and final at the 1920 Olympic Trials. Uhl represented the Meadowbrook Club of Philadelphia. In August 1924 she was suspended by the Middle Atlantic AAU for competing in an unsanctioned swim meet at Ocean City, New Jersey. She later became an accountant and married, becoming Eleanor Gash.
