Biography

Carolyn Woods swam the 200 IM at the 1972 Olympics, making the final, but placing eighth. She swam for the Southern California Aquatic Club in 1972, and competed at the Olympics while a student at Sunny Hills High School in California. Woods later attended the University of Arizona. She would also coach at the Fullerton Aquatic Sports Team (FAST). Woods later became a registered nurse and worked in the pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) at U Cal Irvine.
