Tim Jecko learned to swim in the pool at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and later captained the swim team at Yale. After he left Yale, he became an actor and taught acting. He performed on Broadway and in regional productions. On Broadway, he appeared in “Annie,” and in “Woman of the Year,” with Raquel Welch. He appeared in many television programs and commercials, including such well-known series as “Knots Landing,” “St. Elsewhere,” “Murder, She Wrote,” and “Hunter.” In later years, Jecko was deputy director of the performing arts for the Smithsonian Institute. He later taught writing and communication at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
