Harold “Stubby” Kruger was a Hawaiian native who swam for the Healani Club. He swam the 100 backstroke at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics, placing fifth. Kruger was third in the event at the 1920 US Olympic Trials. Kruger later became an actor and stuntman, often filling in for Douglas Fairbanks or Spencer Tracy. He died in Los Angeles but was buried in Honolulu.
